5th Annual Alabama Seafood Summit Set for June 27 in Orange Beach

Later this month, the Alabama Seafood Marketing Commission (ASMC) will be celebrating a milestone: the 5th annual Alabama Seafood Summit.

Every year, we love coming together with the fishermen, processors, grocers, chefs, and restaurateurs of our industry for some education, fellowship, and of course, a great Alabama Gulf Seafood meal.

Like last year, the 2017 Alabama Seafood Summit will take place the day after the Alabama Seafood Cook-Off. The two-part event will take place June 26 & 27 at The Wharf in Orange Beach.

Attendees for this year’s event include John McMillan, Commissioner of the Alabama Department of Agriculture & Industries (ADAI), and Chris Blankenship, Acting Commissioner of the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and Program Administrator for the ASMC. The event will be sponsored by the ADAI and the ASMC.

“Alabama Gulf Seafood is fresh, delicious, and known for its impeccable quality around the world,” said McMillan. “I am looking forward to the Seafood Summit where we will discuss how to continue to enhance this valuable contributor to our state’s economy.”
