(Gulf Shores, Ala.) – Alabama seafood suppliers are delivering more than 3,000 pounds of seafood to this weekend’s sold-out Hangout Music Festival in Gulf Shores to be enjoyed by patrons and artists.
As part of the recently launched marketing campaign from the Alabama Seafood Marketing Commission (ASMC), the Hangout Fest will include an Alabama Gulf Seafood refrigerated tent where festival-goers will find the freshest catch the state has to offer. The Alabama Gulf Seafood tent is located near the VIP area at the festival.
In addition, Hangout Festival organizers will serve up fresh Alabama grouper, snapper, tuna, crab, shrimp and oysters in select VIP areas and backstage for artists. The three-day event draws visitors from across the country with headliners including Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jack White and the Dave Matthews Band.
The music festival will kick off a season-long partnership with The Hangout restaurant, which regularly serves up fresh Alabama Gulf Seafood.
“This partnership gives us the opportunity to showcase Alabama seafood to thousands of people visiting from across the country this weekend and throughout the year,” said Chris Blankenship, director of Marine Resources and program administrator for the ASMC. “Our hope is that by participating in events like this we will introduce influencers to fresh, delicious seafood from Alabama and they will become ambassadors for our product across the country.”
