Fresh Gulf Seafood goes great with a cold craft beer.
But if you’ve never tried using beer in your recipe, well, you’re missing out on a true culinary treat.
Gadsden’s Back Forty Beer Co. just introduced their new Harvest Ale, an English-style IPA with traditional English hops for a more pronounced malt profile. And as you might imagine, this ale’s robust flavors go great with Alabama Gulf Seafood.
“With its crisp and earthy flavor, the Harvest Ale is perfect for enjoying everything the cool weather has to offer,” said Jason Wilson, founder and president of Back Forty Beer Co. “We pride ourselves on creating beers that bring people together through the rich experience of cooking with or drinking a locally brewed craft beer.”
And now, thanks to Chef Chris Rainosek of The Wash House in Point Clear, you don’t have to experiment with your next recipe. Rainosek drew up a pair of excellent recipes to showcase the Harvest Ale’s flavors.
Try both the Alabama Gulf Seafood Sausage with Harvest Ale Braised Cabbage and Harvest Ale Mustard and the Gulf Oyster Pan Perdu with Harvest Ale Bread. Harvest Ale & Bacon Jam and Meyer Lemon for a locally focused and delicious Gulf seafood dinner.
Back Forty beers can be found throughout the state. Look for their other seasonal brews including Peach Wheat, Biere de Garde, and Scotch Ale.
