Update 9/1/15: Congratulations to our grand prize winner, Ashley Crawford from Albertville, AL! And thanks to all of our contestants, we received a total of 46 submissions and 5,644 votes, all of which made a direct contribution to the Alabama Gulf Seafood cause. Thank you to everyone that entered and voted.
For four weeks straight, our team at Alabama Gulf Seafood partnered with our friends at New Amsterdam Spirits to issue a challenge to Gulf seafood fans across the country, all while helping support the waters that support our state.
The mission? Invite folks to create the most extreme Bloody Mary imaginable and send us a photo.
And thanks to the generosity of the kind folks at New Amsterdam, every vote for one of our Top 20 photos is good for a 25-cent contribution to the Alabama Gulf Seafood cause.
We got some pretty impressive Bloody Marys, y’all, including several that incorporated fresh Gulf seafood, like Gulf shrimp or raw Gulf oysters. Now they’re all battling for the #1 spot in our Top 20 until Saturday, August 29, and the winner will win the ultimate Gulf Coast getaway!
Fans submitted their Bloody Mary photos starting in mid-July, and each week we compiled the top five vote-getters. These weekly finalists received a free Alabama Gulf Seafood prize pack and a spot in our Top 20 finals to compete for the grand prize.
What all does that grand prize include, exactly? Our top vote-getter will take home a magnificent three-night vacation in Gulf Shores, featuring VIP tickets to the 2015 National Shrimp Festival, a half-day of charter boat fishing with High Cotton Charters, and lodging courtesy of Kaiser Realty by Wyndham Vacation Rentals.
You can vote once a day from now until the contest wraps up, so let your voices be heard and vote for your favorite Bloody Marys to send the ultimate winner on a free trip and help contribute to the Alabama Gulf Seafood cause at the same time!
Thanks again to all of our contestants, all of our finalists, all of our contest sponsors, and of course, everyone at New Amsterdam for making this contest a possibility.
